In La Palette Art Studio, we believe that every child is creative and has an artistic talent waiting to be developed. Our art lessons will unveil your child’s talent through the study of beauty in our world and the best examples of great artists of all times. In our art classes, we put a big emphasis on developing observation skills through drawing from life, studying great works of art and also fostering your child’s imagination.
Maria Damgaard, the founder of La Palette, graduated from the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris with a MFA. After finishing her studies, she painted and had solo shows in galleries in France, Poland, and Canada. She also ran her own art school for children in Vancouver, BC. After detouring into jewellery design and book illustration, Maria started teaching at a private school in 2016 and began a new art school for children in Calgary in 2017.
