Mom-and-Daughter Art Vacation
In an enchanting rural Normandy, France
An 8-day holiday at the 17th century Château de Vassy estate

The Experience

Our small group of 3 Mom-and-Daughter pairs will be hosted by Séverine, the owner of the Château, and her family. In this intimate setting while daughters will draw or paint under my guidance Moms are welcome to join in on our creative adventure or they can simply relax on the grounds of the estate, take walks by the stream along the Château property and even walk to the village for a cup of coffee.

With our private transport car and our own driver we will have ample time in our 8-day stay to visit some of the most magical places of Normandy. I have designed a unique itinerary of sightseeing combined with sketching and painting, offering a truly unforgettable adventure for the Mom and daughter.

As food is an inherent part of the French culture we will also enjoy local specialties of authentic Normandy cuisine cooked especially for our group at the chateau by our wonderful host Séverine.

And last, but not the least, our days will be made perfect with cosy evenings by the fireplace at the château while chatting and sketching, or peaceful countryside walks before you retire into your cosy country style house built in the spirit of the architectural style of the Château de Vassy at the beginning of the 20th century and decorated in the style of “Countryside Chic”. This caretaker’s house is just a few steps away from the château.

The Château

Situated just 30 minutes from Mont-Saint-Michel, in the heart of the Normandy countryside between the cities of Rennes and Caen, Château de Vassy is a little gem of architectural elegance and simplicity. It was built at the beginning of the 17th century at the rise of the classicism period in the style of Louis XIII. You will fall in love with the gracefulness and sophistication of the so-called French Renaissance style combined with a touch of rural simplicity of the Château de Vassy.

Sketching and painting under my guidance while enjoying sightseeing, beaches, nature walks and French country life.

Each Mom-and-Daughter pair will sleep in a spacious private room (1 queen bed)
* There is a possibility to have an extra room in the attic in case you have 2 children participating (this room is connected by a staircase to one of the private bedrooms creating a little suite).

Total cost: CAD 3500 per person

Deposit: CAD 1,000 (to be paid by April 11, 2024, non-refundable after May 11, 2024)

Remaining balance: CAD 2,500 (to be paid in full by May 11, 2024)
