This class focuses on observational drawing and painting as well as the study of great masters. The students will learn to draw with graphite pencils, pen & ink and charcoal on a variety of papers. They will also explore various painting techniques such as painting with pure pigments, oil painting, watercolour and gouache painting. They will develop knowledge in various art concepts such as value, colour theory and composition. The students who will choose art as their future career will be able to build a strong portfolio for an art college or faculty.
